Purchase Agreement, Puppy Contract & Health Guarantee

The following is a purchase agreement, puppy contract, and health guarantee for a puppy produced by A.N.A. Doodles. The Breeder agrees herewith to sell the puppy described below to the Buyer named below.

Contract Type: Pet Only / No Breeding Rights

Final payment: The balance entered below is due when the puppy is ready for his/her new home. Puppies will be available to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Pick up is by appointment only.

The total price of the puppy is entered below. Final payments can be made through Gooddog.com, Zelle, Cashapp, Paypal or cash.

The Puppy Is to Be Sold Under the Following Terms

The puppy will have been examined by the seller's vet prior to leaving A.N.A. Doodles. This is an opinion of the puppy's health given by our vet. The puppy will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations. The buyer agrees to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a complete physical examination within 5 days of receiving the puppy for the health guarantee to remain in effect. Because vet appointments can be difficult to obtain, we highly recommend making your appointment at the time you reserve your puppy. All dietary changes must be made under vet supervision. A.N.A. Doodles make every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. Please notify us immediately of any health problems your puppy is experiencing along with their vet records to date. The buyer authorizes the seller to speak with any of their treating vets. If your vet finds the puppy to be in a serious condition, the seller will refund up to the total purchase price of the puppy. The seller reserves the right to a second vet opinion at a vet of their choice prior to any refunds.

The puppy is guaranteed to be free from any genetic/hereditary defects that can cause death or serious impairments of vital functions in the puppy until the puppy is 2 years old. The first symptoms must have occurred prior to 2 years of age. These genetic/hereditary conditions are those which can be tested for in the sire and dam of the litter prior to breeding. We follow the most current pre-breeding testing guidelines. Some conditions can be thought to have a genetic component within a breed but have no definitive test/s for breeding pairs. In that case, the condition would not be covered. In the event your puppy develops an inheritable/genetic disease (for which the dam and sire were able to be tested) up to his/her second birthday, the buyer is entitled to a refund up to the purchase price of the puppy. For this guarantee to be valid, A.N.A. Doodles require medical records from a licensed veterinarian in writing clearly documenting the diagnosis. We reserve the right to a second veterinary opinion by a vet of our choice. Your guarantee is valid if the puppy gets all vaccinations on time and has all Vet visits documented. Additionally, under no circumstances shall A.N.A. Doodles be liable for veterinary expenses.

Puppies are at risk for Coccidia and Giardia which are often associated with the stress of moving to a new home, new food, new people, change of climate, or surroundings, etc. Due to the vast variety of causes, including environment and stress, A.N.A. Doodles do not cover Coccidia and Giardia in their health guarantee. All puppies leave A.N.A. Doodles with a clear fecal screening documented on their Vet records.

Congenital Heart Defect

A.N.A. Doodles provides a warranty for their sold dogs until the age of two years (24 months) against severe or life-threatening congenital heart defects within the first two years of life. This warranty ensures that the puppies are protected during their crucial early stages of development. Should a severe life-threatening heart and/or genetic defect occur which may affect the dog's quality of life, the buyer must contact A.N.A. Doodles within 7 days of the first diagnosis. We require the buyer to provide a letter and medical records from a licensed veterinarian clearly documenting the diagnosis. The buyer is entitled to a refund up to the purchase price of the puppy or a replacement puppy if available. If the puppy is euthanized without the second opinion from the breeder's veterinarian, the buyer waives all the rights to a one-time replacement puppy and or a refund.

Base Narrow Canine

A.N.A. Doodles shall not be responsible for or provide reimbursement for the diagnosis or treatment of base narrow canines or related dental/orthodontic conditions. The development of a puppy's bite and tooth alignment may change as puppy matures and is affected by multiple factors beyond the breeder's control.

Inverted/Recessed Vulva

Some female puppies are born with recessed/inverted vulvas. This is not considered a genetic/hereditary health condition. We can provide instructions on keeping the area clean and the use of probiotics and cranberry powder to help prevent the tendency towards urinary tract infections or vaginitis. It usually self corrects by the second heat cycle. If the only puppy available in the litter has an inverted/recessed vulva and this is something you do not want to take on, your reservation fee will be refunded or transferred over to another litter of your choice.

Death

In the case of a puppy dying within our health guarantee time frame, the buyer will pay to have a necropsy performed to ascertain the reason of death prior to any refunds. The necropsy report must be made available to the breeder if a claim for refund is presented. No refunds will be given if the puppy was euthanized without the breeder's consent.

Pet Insurance

A.N.A. Doodles partnered with Trupanion which offers complimentary 30-day coverage. The buyer is required to enroll the puppy in the complimentary 30-day Trupanion pet insurance policy provided by A.N.A. Doodles before/at the time of pickup or delivery. After the initial 30-day complimentary coverage ends, Buyer may choose to continue the policy at their own expense or cancel it without obligation. This requirement is a condition of purchase.

Microchip

The puppy comes with a microchip. It is the buyer's responsibility to keep their contact information updated with the microchip company. Aiza Haynes will remain locked in as the breeder for the lifetime of the dog.

Buyer's Responsibility

• The puppy cannot be given away or sold to any other individual or research company.
• The buyer certifies that they are not acting as an agent for another individual in the purchase of this puppy.
• In the event that the buyer cannot keep the puppy or provide proper care for the puppy, the puppy will be returned to A.N.A. Doodles.
• Buyer must not euthanize, take puppy to an animal shelter, or breed rescue.
• The buyer agrees the puppy will never be abused, neglected or used for any kind of illegal purposes.
• Buyer also agrees to provide proper shelter, food, water, and never to leave the puppy on a lead for extended periods of time unsupervised.
• The puppy is not to ever be left to live in a cage or outside.
• Buyer also commits to provide necessary vet checkups, vaccinations, worming, heartworm, and flea and tick prevention as recommended by a licensed vet.
• If the puppy shows signs of neglect or abuse, ownership of the puppy will immediately return to A.N.A. Doodles without the return of any money to the buyer.
• The terms of this contract last the puppy's entire life and failure to abide by the conditions set forth in this contract or in any way to neglect the emotional or physical well-being of said puppy will result in A.N.A. Doodles taking ownership of the dog and/or civil litigation, without refunds of money paid for the puppy.
• The buyer will be responsible for all civil fees for seller and buyer.
• The buyer agrees to stay in contact with the seller by email, phone, text, Facebook for the duration of said puppy's life.
• The buyer agrees to allow the seller to use photos and updates on social media and/or websites.
• The buyer agrees that at any time they move or change any contact information, that the buyer will contact the seller with new contact information.

Return Policy

BUYER(S) may request to return this puppy for ANY reason for a full refund of the original purchase price minus the vet check-up fee and inconvenience fee of $500. If the BUYER(S) returns the puppy after one week, the rehoming fee will be given to the original buyer when the dog is rehomed. The rehoming fee will be determined by the breeder. If the dog is not up to date on immunizations and deworming medication, the breeder will deduct the cost of a necessary veterinarian visit plus a $500 inconvenience fee from the rehoming fee. This is to ensure that the breeder can screen the new home to make sure the new owner is ready and able to raise the dog. We would highly recommend you give your puppy longer than a week to settle in and fully transition before deciding they are not the right match for you (3/3/3 Rule: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to start to feel at home).

Hip and Elbow Warranty

A.N.A. Doodles provides a 2-year health guarantee against severe hip dysplasia. The buyer is entitled to a refund up to the purchase price of the puppy or a one-time replacement puppy if available. If your puppy develops any lameness, pain, or difficulty rising from a down position:

1. Notify us immediately so we may document the date. The onset must be prior to two (2) years of age to be covered under our contract.
2. Have your puppy evaluated by your vet.
3. If your vet thinks your puppy's symptoms may be related to hip and elbow dysplasia, we require OFA view x-rays be done and submitted to the OFA for an official rating. Not all vets are familiar with performing OFA x-rays. We will be happy to refer you to our vet to have this done which would eliminate the need for a second opinion.
4. The elbow and patella rating must be less than normal, and the hip rating must be less than fair for your puppy to be covered under our health warranty.
5. Claims for elbow, patella and hip dysplasia must be submitted to your pet insurance company prior to being submitted to A.N.A. Doodles.
6. The buyer must show proof that the puppy has no past injuries that may have caused hip dysplasia, is not overweight, not over-exercised, and no breeding has taken place prior to 2 years of age to be covered under our health warranty.

*Please note: If the condition was caused by an injury from training, play, or any other activity; the guarantee becomes void. *We recommend you to not allow your puppy to do extensive running, jumping off things (steps, couches, beds, etc.), or hard play before the age of 2.

Spay/Neuter Agreement

The buyer will spay/neuter the puppy at the age the buyer's vet recommends. I highly suggest doing research about early spay/neuter. This dog is being sold WITHOUT BREEDING RIGHTS. If this dog is bred without the breeder's permission, the buyer understands that a $2,000 penalty for violating the contract will be paid in full to the breeder by the time the puppies are 8 weeks and an additional $2,000 for EACH PUPPY BORN/PRODUCED by this dog. The buyer understands that the seller will take legal action if penalties are not met within the time frame given.

ACL & CCL Tears and Ruptures

Because of their multifactorial causes, ACL/CCL tears or ruptures are not covered under our health warranty.

Cryptorchidism

A.N.A. Doodles guarantee that both testicles should be descended by the age specified in this contract (commonly 12 months). If one or both testicles fail to descend, Buyer must provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian. A.N.A. Doodles' responsibility, if applicable, will be limited to the purchase price reimbursement related to the affected condition or the cost of the recommended corrective procedure, as outlined in this agreement. No other expenses, including routine neuter, anesthesia, diagnostics, or additional veterinary cost, are covered.

Hernia

The breeder will cover the cost of the hernia repair if it hasn't closed on its own. The breeder will cover the portion of the surgery cost related to the hernia repair if the owner decides to have their veterinarian repair the hernia during the dog's spay or neuter surgery. The buyer understands that most umbilical hernias are innocent and should resolve on their own.

Health Warranty Limitations

This Health Warranty does not cover health issues that cannot be proven to be specifically inherited; such as but not limited to: all types of cancer, viral illnesses, internal or external parasites, bacterial infections, fungal infections, skin disorders, diabetes, hernias, food or skin allergies, improper bites, heart murmurs that are not congenital or are considered innocent, heart diseases that are not genetic, gastrointestinal or digestive issues, protozoal diseases like giardia, coccidiosis, urinary tract infections, ear or eye infections. A.N.A. Doodles cannot ensure the specific type of coat a dog will have, nor can they guarantee that the coat will be hypoallergenic. While every effort is made to provide detailed information about the puppies, variations in coat type and allergen levels may still occur. A.N.A. Doodles also do not cover illnesses due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, stress related issues, behavior issues, physical injuries and/or illnesses which may have occurred during or after transport to the BUYER(S). This puppy, to the best of our knowledge, is in good health at the time of treatments prior to sale.

Signing

This contract is legal and binding and signed on the date, and in the city and state, entered below. By typing my name, initials and signature below, I confirm I have read and understand the contents of this contract, and by initialing and signing this contract I agree to follow all terms of this contract.
