Our Program

Pregnancy & Whelping

From the day a pregnancy is confirmed, mom's comfort and the puppies' first hours are the whole focus of our home.

Why it matters

A relaxed, well-fed mom raises calmer puppies. During pregnancy our girls move to a higher-calorie diet, gentle daily exercise and extra one-on-one time, with veterinary check-ups and an ultrasound or X-ray to count puppies before the due date.

Puppies are whelped in our home — never a kennel — in a quiet room where one of us sleeps beside the whelping box for the first two weeks. Every puppy is weighed daily and we track feeding, warmth and weight gain so nothing slips past us.

In practice

How we care for mom and babies

  1. Prenatal veterinary care

Confirmation, nutrition plan, and a puppy-count X-ray so we're ready for the whole litter.

  2. A calm whelping suite

Temperature-controlled room, heated whelping box, and a human on the floor beside them around the clock.

  3. Daily weights & records

Each puppy is weighed and logged every day; slow gainers get supplemented immediately.

  4. Mom first

Post-whelp vet check, recovery diet and quiet time, so she can be the great mother she is.

What it means for you

At home with your puppy

  • Strong starts

Puppies that gain steadily from day one grow into sturdier dogs.

  • Updates from the start

Families on the litter list receive photos and weights from the first week.

  • Raised in a home

Household sounds and smells are normal to your puppy from the very beginning.
